Bombay is a city that reminds me of everything fun, of crowded local trains, vada pav stalls, marine drive, victoria chariot rides, Parsi cafes & much more. In between my hectic work life, Bombay was always an exploring ground for new adventures like chilling at “Candies” with unlimited salad, going to Liberty just to see the theater, enjoying the Christmas lamps at “Pritvi” & the drunken “Blue Frog” nights ogling at our favorite band. By far the most enjoyable moments, were watching the sunset at marine drive over the Bombay skyline on lazy Sunday evening’s & our cycling escapades in South Bombay, was another much loved pastime.
The Vadala house was madness in itself with 4 girls & 2 boys crammed into a tiny house, which almost resembled a train compartment that had interesting crazy travelers with exciting conversations & oodles of laughter. This house had clothes, mattresses & people strewed everywhere, but the best spot in the house, was the one that overlooked the monorail. The house turned into a party animal on the weekends with shiny disco balls, fairy lights & friends that kept coming. The Vadala spirit kept rolling, while the crazy dance moves kept kicking and the bottle stacks kept overflowing.
Bombay will always be the city that throbs with mayhem, pulsates with energy & never sleeps, one that keeps me wanting more.
Partners in crime: Akshara Verma, Kamakshi Ganesh, Sayali Athale and all the crazy people at the Vadala house parties.
